FAQ's about the FLU 

1. Did H1N1 surpass seasonal flu in 2009/2010 ?

- Yes it was the most prevalent flu virus circulating last year.
- the good news is that because so many got the H1N1 shot, overall flu activity
was lower by the end of the season.

2. Will last year's H1N1 shot protect my child this year ? 

- probably, since the virus hasn't changed but researchers are still trying to
establish just how long the protection from the shot lasts.

3. Who should get the seasonal flu vaccine ? 

- it is recommended everyone OVER 6 mths of age and those close in contact to
them.

4. Why not kids under 6 Months ?

- The vaccine doesn't work in children this age because they have immune
systems that are too immature to respond appropriately.

5. Can my child end up catching the Flu from the shot ? 

- No. The vaccine does not contain live virus.
- However the shot may not take effect for 10 days, so kids can still catch
the flu after being immunized.

6. BESIDES Vaccinating, how else can I protect my kids ? 

- Practise good flu etiquette: Cough or sneeze into tissue or elbow, wash your
hands after wiping noses and stay at home when sick.

Just some interesting FAQ'S that may answer some of questions you may have about RPC Daycare. 1. What are your HOURS that you are OPEN ? Hours of Operation - 7am to 6pm 2. Is there someone in the Office the whole day ? Administration Office Hours - 10am to 5pm 3. Do we have Transportation service ? YES. As a part of out service, RPC offers transportation to and from the 4 schools it currently serves. We have a fleet of personally owned and operated buses that transports the kids to and from school and our very own daycare field trips. 4. What does the Monthly Fees Cover ?
